The story so far

Muro a secco In 1999 Terra d'Incanto was a run down property of abandoned buildings and farm land and we began by bringing the land back into cultivation using only organic growing methods. The terraced vineyards with their dry stone walls were reclaimed using organic growing methods as were the 2 hectares of olive groves (500 trees) and a 3 hectare orchard. We have cleaned out and managed the woodlands and made pathways across the estate.

The largest project however was the complete refurbishing and rebuilding of the two large houses and the function room, which together with the third (140 sq.m) house provide accommodation for 15 to 20 people.

Terra d'Incanto now consists of:

  • A three story refurbished stone building of 180 sq.m. consisting of 8 rooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 storerooms and 3 independent entrances. There is also a wood burning pizza oven and independent gas central heating. (see plan)
  • A very comfortable 88 sq.m. wooden house with a large kitchen/dining room, living room, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 storage rooms. (see plan)
  • A large (120 sq.m.) multifunctional outbuilding which can be used for meetings, courses or hospitality purposes.
  • Three external toilets (total 24 sq.m.) one for ladies, one for gentlemen and one with disabled access.
  • A large stone cottage of 140 sq.m. on two floors with a terrace offering magnificent sea views. This cottage is in need of refurbishing and planning permission has already been granted.
  • Another space with potential for conversion that at present has neither plan nor permission.
